Warning on suspected fraudulent website:
www.hkird.com

The Hong Kong Inland Revenue Department (IRD) wishes to alert members of the public to a suspected fraudulent website with the domain name www.hkird.com and e-mails from that website. The website looks similar to the official website of IRD (www.ird.gov.hk).
The IRD has reported the case to the Hong Kong Police Force for further investigation. Anyone who has provided his or her personal information to the website or has conducted any financial transactions through the website should contact the IRD at 2594 5355 or taxinfo@ird.gov.hk and any local Police Station or the Commercial Crime Bureau of the Hong Kong Police Force at 2860 5012.
