Stamp Office – Special Counter Arrangement for Property Transfer Documents

The Stamp Duty (Amendment) (No. 2) Ordinance 2014 has been published in the gazette on 25 July 2014 (“Date of Gazettal”). In respect of (i) stamping of additional stamp duty or (ii) application for charging ad valorem stamp duty (AVD) at lower rates (Scale 2) on instruments executed on or after 23 February 2013 but stamped before the Date of Gazettal, you are required to submit your documents/applications to Counters 1 and 2 of the Stamp Office in the following time periods:

The service hours of Counters 1 and 2 are from 8:45 am to 12:30 pm and 1:30 pm to 5:00 pm on Monday to Friday.

It is anticipated that there will be vast number of applications each day, you are recommended to come to the Stamp Office for submitting your application during the non-peak hours from 8:45 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
