Hong Kong Competent Authority

You may request assistance under the Mutual Agreement Procedure from the Hong Kong competent authority if you are taxed not in accordance with the provisions of a double taxation agreement / arrangement.  The Hong Kong competent authority is the Commissioner of Inland Revenue or his authorised representatives.

Responsibilities

The Hong Kong competent authority is responsible for:

  • resolution of double taxation issues,
  • exchange of information, and
  • bilateral advance pricing arrangements.
