With effect from 21 July 2025, the Stamp Office will no longer accept new "E-Stamp" Account applications from business users already registered under the Business Registration Ordinance (Cap. 310). The current "E-Stamp" Accounts will be gradually phased out in the near future. Business user is recommended to open a BTP Business Account under the Business Tax Portal (BTP) to access e-Stamping services. For details, please click here.
For entity which has not been registered pursuant to the Business Registration Ordinance (generally, non-Hong Kong company), please complete an application form for "E-Stamp" Account [Form IRSD109] (download form) and send it back to the Stamp Office by fax, post or in person. Online application via the Internet is currently not available.

No. Please use the Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN) (for eTAX login) (details) or "iAM Smart" Account to access e-Stamping services.

Yes. You can open up to 20 "E-Stamp" Accounts for a main or branch office. For example, if the firm has 10 offices / branches, it can open up to 200 "E-Stamp" Accounts.

Our firm has just registered a number of E-Stamp Accounts. Do we need to inform IRD the name of holder of each account and changes thereafter?
A:
No. The Company is free to allot its E-Stamp Account to individual staff. It should however exercise adequate security control. Upon a change of account holder, please change the password immediately. This can be done via the Internet at GovHK website
